Assistant Teacher (Level 1)

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Help, teach and coach people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water;
  • Assist the Lead Swimming Teacher to deliver sessions in a professional manner and undertake administrative tasks associated with the role (i.e. lesson plans, class registers, monitoring and evaluation).

Applicants will hold the Swim England Level 1 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent). The successful applicant will be friendly, patient and able to work effectively as part of a team. We are looking for somebody who is committed to their own development and keen to learn.

Lead Teacher (Level 2)

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Deliver sessions in a professional manner and undertake administrative tasks associated with the role (i.e. lesson plans, class registers, monitoring and evaluation).

Applicants will hold the Swim England/STA Level 2 Teaching Qualification and further qualifications in teaching Baby & Toddler lessons is desired. The successful applicant will be friendly, patient, well organised and able to inspire confidence and motivate our customers.

Lifeguard (NPLQ)

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Supervise customers throughout our facilities, ensuring their safety and satisfaction at all times;
  • Carry out rescues and administer first aid as required;
  • Assist the Swimming Teachers in setting up the pool for lessons;
  • Maintain our venues to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene;

Applicants will hold a recognised National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and AED certification is desired. The successful applicant will be friendly, naturally helpful and vigilant.
